My name is Beth and I was treated for a benign brain stem glioma in 1985. Although I have numerous side-effects, I'm grateful to be alive.

Many years, decades in fact, have passed since my treatment and I never came across anyone who has had the same health experiences as myself. I wanted to meet a survivor who had a benign brain tumor and was treated during his or her childhood. I was always led to brain cancer whenever I did an online search for benign brain tumors and started becoming very discouraged.

Only recently did I decide that I wanted a website for benign brain tumor survivors. I thought that it would be fantastic to go on only one website and be able to meet and chat with other survivors who can understand your experiences, your side-effects, your world.

I have met many compassionate people throughout the years. Although they are not all my biological family, they care how I am and want to improve my world. So you are also invited to join if you are interested in learning and understanding this kind of experience. I am looking forward to making a connection with all of you.
